York Town Primary and Infant School has been a cornerstone of educational excellence in Southwest Clarendon since 1965. Nestled in the heart of York Town and serving families from surrounding communities, our school has cultivated a rich tradition of academic achievement and holistic student development over nearly six decades. Our commitment to excellence extends far beyond the classroom. In recent years, we have proudly celebrated students who have earned government scholarships to high school, a testament to our rigorous academic standards and dedicated teaching staff. Our athletic programs, particularly our football teams, consistently excel in the Insports competition, with one of our remarkable students even representing Jamaica internationally in Barcelona, Spain. At York Town Primary and Infant School, we believe in preparing our students for a globalized world. Through our partnership with Cuban educators, our students are introduced to Spanish as a second language from an early age, giving them a valuable linguistic advantage. This international perspective, combined with our strong community ties and active Past Student Association, creates a supportive learning environment where every child can thrive.
